Need help paying your telephone bill?

You may be eligible to receive a discount on your phone service through Lifeline. Lifeline is a federal program designed to help low-income consumers pay for their phone service. Their mission is to ensure that all Americans have access to vital phone services, which help keep you connected, to family, job opportunities, educational resources, and emergency services. You will get up to a $9.25 monthly discount on your phone service if you qualify.

Eligibility

You are eligible for benefits if you qualify and receive one of the following:

  • Medicaid
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Federal Public Housing (FPHA)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefits
  • Tribal Programs (and live on federally-recognized Tribal lands)

You are also eligible if your household income is at or below 135% of the federal poverty guidelines.

You can apply online through the Lifeline National Verifier website. Or you may contact us to get an application.

You will remain in the program as long as you remain eligible, and verify eligibility once a year.
